We are proud to launch our latest website design, GoGo Running.
GOGO Running, based in Atlanta, Georgia, helps people reach their personal running goals – whether you are trying to run your first race, lose weight or set a personal record. Included on the site are videos that show you how to do activities that are running and fitness related. They provide extensive information for your running and fitness needs, all with the intention of keeping you motivated.
This was a very exciting project for Sayenko Design, as the founder Mike Sayenko is a professional marathoner. He is competing at the IAAF Track and Field World Championships in Daegu, South Korea in the marathon on September 4th, 2011. He shared, “it’s always exciting to be able to mix my passion for running and graphic design, its not work when you love it!” You can follow Mike’s running on his blog, Miles of Trials.
In designing GOGO Running’ website, our goal was to create a user-friendly and engaging
website for all types of people.
Clean design was a focus, as well as highlighting the website with a video blog – this was the most important feature of the website. The video section acts as a social blog with areas for commenting, user ratings, related videos, and ability to recommend the video.
We started with market research by sifting through different competitor websites on running and social video. We then pulled together a branding strategy that would make GOGO Running’s website stand out from the rest.
This led us to create a brand name, logo and color scheme that communicated a unique feel. We wanted the name to stand out, but not to be cliché. After much research and serveys, we came up with the distinct name “GOGO” Running.
Look for them to continue to grow in their presence and be sure to visit their website for all your running needs.
